Torture? What Torture? No Torture!
Someone outed a CIA agent? Gee, wonder who that could have been?
Karl Rove. Nice Guy. I hadda punish him by putting him in charge of the reconstruction of New Orleans..
Tom DeLay? Haven’t seen him around lately.
Condi Rice. Nice Shoes. Perky. Good Liar.
Dick Cheney? Uncle Dick? Keeps secrets.
Laura? Knows when to shut up.

We all know that the Bush propaganda people are good at presenting our tyrannical, impatient, petulant, irresponsible, egomaniacal President as honest, candid, transparent, hard-working, efficient and highly moral.
We all know this is stage-management, with good background lighting, with sacred or patriotic backdrops, with captive audiences, surrounded by the largest security forces and agents in our history. (…) -

Today a news headline stated:
“NATO CHIEF: RICE ’CLEARED THE AIR’ ON DETAINEE CHARGES”
The main story was a simple assertion: “Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has briefed NATO and European Union colleagues on the Bush administration response to allegations the CIA has abused terrorism suspects and had secret detention sites in Europe. NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer says Ms. Rice’s (…) -

Condi Rice, Bush’s attack dog, the Black Angel of Death, has been high-stepping around Europe lately with the fancy shoes that she bought as Katrina killed many people. I’m surprised she doesn’t wear hip-height rubber boots to wade knee-deep in all the crap she is spreading on European leaders. But she finds time to lecture Syria and Iran and constantly threaten them because that was the neocons plan years ago. She also, following (…) -

The incompetence and misdeeds of the Bush administration are slowly being revealed with horrifying details of torture, abuse, misinformation, slander, CIA jails, indefinite detentions, incompetence, reckless adventuring, lobbing cruise missiles, fake reporters, fake news, habitual lying, patting themselves on the back, excoriating, slandering and punishing critics.
Their Machiavellian plans for World Conquest, the Downing (…) -

After a recent Bush speech to Annapolis Cadets the Pentagon announced a “growing consensus” to cut down on the number of U.S. troops in Iraq.
It seems to me a stronger statement would have been that, in view of very strong criticism, Bush is now, at least, considering doing “something” about the Iraq quagmire. He’s not considering doing very much but is pulling out all emotional stops to defend his (…) -

President George W. Bush gave an eloquent and emotional speech at the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland recently to another captive audience of bright and shiny cadets, plus enough admirals, generals and politicians to let the public think that someone with some sense was backing him up.
He included a 35-page policy paper "OUR NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR VICTORY IN IRAQ," a rehash of his arguments for the past 3 years, including (…) -

Our courageous American hero, George Bush, Lord of Missions Accomplished, gave another of his cloned speeches the other day at Annapolis, to a captive audience of bright and shining cadets, who had no idea what evil genius awaited their service. Some phrases from his speech were taken from the Neocon Strategy for Victory handbook years ago.
SCENE: George I is sitting in his bedroom having a (…) -

A blogger recently asked that in view of my longevity and varied experience I might write something about changes noted.
Years ago I was a photographer-reporter and attended a Presidential photo-op for a visiting dignitary. The news-people were invited to partake of delicious snacks at a large table. Then the President got up on a dais with his visitor, both made speeches, and left the room. A bodyguard of the President went (…) -
