"Conspiracy Of Silence: Sexual practices of those who govern the United States and the murder of the DC Madam"
There has been a lot of coverage on the death of the DC Madam. The mainstream media is regurgitating the governments account of a suicide - this is the same mainstream media that brought us the pentagon sponsored war on Iraq - while the non media conglomerate perspective is geared towards investigating the possible links of 911 and the murder of the DC Madam.
The belief that (…)

According to Webster, a political revolution does not have to be violent:
It says (2b) that a revolution is "a fundamental change in political organization; especially : the overthrow or renunciation of one government or ruler and the substitution of another by the governed."
According to this Oklahoma law (paragraph B), it is a felony crime for anyone over the age of 18 to advocate revolution on a college or (…) -

Are we really having discussions about whether or not to participate in the 2008 Olympics? Are people actually sitting in coffee shops discussing whether the civil rights violations in China warrant a U.S. boycott of the opening ceremonies or even the games themselves?
Man, this country really cracks me up.
Extraordinary men and women, the absolute cream of our athletic crop, who have — for likely as long as they’ve walked — trained for the moment when they could (…) -

To those who have never had any dealings with America’s criminal “justice” system, and to those who have been victims of crime, prosecuting attorneys are often viewed as noble crusaders, fighting for truth and justice against the machinations of “slimy” defense lawyers who will do anything to ensure that the guilty go unpunished.
Even the rhetoric reflects this perception. If criminal defendants are wrongfully convicted, it (…) -

Canadian citizen Omar Khadr, born 19 September 1986 in Ottawa Canada, “has been detained in the Guantanamo Bay detention camps since he was captured at the age of 15 following a 2002 firefight between American troops and militants in Afghanistan.” He has been accused by the United States of “throwing a grenade that killed a US soldier, leading to charges of war crimes and providing support to terrorism.” That, of course, is what the Bush administration is officially stating, the truth (…)

Martin Luther King and 9/11

Part 7 of "The Logical Reconstruction of Reality":
Today’s 40th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King provides a good opportunity to examine Newspeak in full bloom.
The question, of course, is "Did the US government kill him"? The official answer is "No, a guy named Ray did it alone." The intuitive answer of a large part of the US population (not to mention the rest of the world) is "Yes," and the informed answer of the King family is the title of their lawyer’s (…) -
Mumia Abu-Jamal’s death sentence tossed out
27 March 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
A federal appeals court on Thursday said former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal cannot be executed for murdering a Philadelphia police officer without a new penalty hearing.
The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Abu-Jamal’s conviction should stand, but that he should get a new sentencing hearing because of flawed jury instructions.
If prosecutors don’t want to give him a new death penalty hearing, Abu-Jamal would be sentenced automatically to life in prison.
Abu-Jamal, 53, once a (…) -
Greensboro Massacre : Justice Delayed or Denied?
28 February 2008 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsOne fundamental right Americans enjoy is the right to be free from “double jeopardy.” As described in the Fifth Amendment to the Bill of Rights, double jeopardy means that no person shall “for the same offense . . . be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.” Court rulings dealing with double jeopardy issues ultimately developed the “merger doctrine.” This doctrine has two prongs.
One prong states that when a person is found guilty of a criminal offense all lesser offenses that were—or (…)
