Mr. President Obama The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue N.W.

Mr. President,
In 2013, the day before Thanksgiving, a day of actions of thanks and offering in the United States, after having shilly-shallying between the turkeys “Caramel” and “Popcorn”, destined to end up in the oven, you finished by generously sparing Popcorn’s life.
At the moment when I’m writing this (…)

AMERICA’S EPIDEMIC OF KILLER COPS
29 November 2014Question: Why would cops in America shoot, strangle, or beat to death an unarmed person?
Answer: Because they can.
It is a sad reality in today’s America that cops can not only do these things with immunity and impunity, they can actually do them in front of thousands, sometimes millions, of witnesses, and still get away with it.
Don’t take my word for it. Look at the horrific beating death of Kelly Thomas, a homeless man in Fullerton, California. Videotaped evidence showed six (…) -

Review: "Australian history in 7 questions" by John Hirst - genocide ignored
28 November 2014“Australian History in 7 questions” by John Hirst attempts to summarize Australian history by answering 7 key questions but ultimately fails through Eurocentrism, Anglocentrism and denial - Australian history becomes an aren’t-we-nice, White, Anglo Australian history that ignores Anglo Australian involvement in 30 genocidal atrocities of which some, like the over 2-century, post-1788 Aboriginal Genocide, and the 1-century, post-1914 Iraqi Genocide, are continuing today.

Virgin Mobile Contract Fraud Exposed
22 November 2014A couple years ago I entered into an agreement with Virgin Mobile (part of Virgin Media) for a mobile contract deal for my son. Basically, my son wanted a certain mobile phone and so to get it at a manageable monthly cost I agreed to pay £35.85 per month for two years as follows:
Virgin £35.85 200 minutes 500 texts 500MB Mobile Web
Having lost track of the exact contract date I telephoned Virgin three times over the last 9 months trying find out when I could cancel, thinking to move over (…) -
Gaza bombings rock Palestinian reconciliation
21 November 2014By Nicola Nasser*
It is ironic that the annual commemoration of the death of Yasser Arafat should turn into an occasion for rekindling the flames of internal strife. This was clearly the aim of last week’s bombings that targeted the homes of Fatah leaders in Gaza, as well as the podium for the commemorative ceremonies of Arafat, who strove to make Palestinian national unity one of the pillars of his political legacy.
How desperately those concerned need to be inspired by the political (…) -
Of vicious clones and spies gone bad: the case of Jan Pottker’s complete loss of
20 November 2014The trio of entertainment industry billionaire, convicted former spy and failed writer who sought to ruin a journalist’s life, are still free because they are beyond the reach of privacy laws. Perhaps the only reason why the story of Jan Pottker has never been made into a movie is that justice has not been served. The popcorn-munching public would be left angry that a circus impresario with too much money could ruin the life of an investigative journalist with the help of a spy-gone-bad and (…)

18 November 2014LIVING WITH INSANITY Harper, Abbott, and Cameron at the Brisbane G-20
John Chuckman
Canada’s Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, is reported by a spokesman, to have had the following exchange with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin during the Brisbane G-20 summit: “Well, I guess I’ll shake your hand, but I only have one thing to say to you: you need to get out of Ukraine.” Putin is said to have replied, “Impossible. Since we are not there.”
A graceless bit of diplomatic crudity from a truly (…)
