Wallace v Duncan, Pistons v Spurs Game 5 Strategy Session for Live TV Culture Jam
19 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentThe significance of what could happen Sunday night in Detroit is mind-blowing. Imagine, just one player, a Wallace or Duncan realizing the true power they have. As athletes on the world stage, they are [former] working class joe’s with a chance to speak out to the world on live tv. If just one superstar were to... interupt the game, STOP life as normal- if only for a few minutes... STOP the game and tell America on Live tv, "The Downing Street Memo is the smoking gun! Impeach Bush!" it could (…)

An open letter to Jon Stewart
10 June 2005 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsDear Jon,

As the mother of 2 toddlers, it is not something that I take lightly. I have no desire to die, but you are someone that I consider too important to lose. The world is a better place with you in it. You have been salvation for so many since Nov. of 2000. The honesty and humor of the Daily Show has been (…) -

3 commentsAdam Curtis has recut his explosive war on terror documentary The Power of Nightmares into a feature film - and is taking it to the festival.
By Stuart Jeffries
05/12/05 "The Guardian" - - There will be no red carpet for Adam Curtis when his film The Power of Nightmares receives its gala screening at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday. There would be no point: his film has no leading ladies who could disport themselves in backless numbers or lantern-jawed himbos to vogue fatuously (…) -

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s treatment of women he encountered as a movie star has largely faded from public discourse, aside from the occasional Doonesbury cartoon that depicts the governor as a giant hand addressed by reporters as Herr Gropenführer.
