Margaret Hassan to be Turned Over to Mythical al-Zarqawi

8,00.html ) have threatened to hand her over to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi - the mythical master terrorist who supposedly chops off heads and then posts videos of the grisly executions on the internet-unless British troops are removed from Iraq in 48 hours.
Interesting the kidnappers decided to announce this mid-stride in the corporate election of the next CEO of the United States. The kidnapping of Hassan makes absolutely no sense logistically for the Iraq resistance, in fact it severely damages their image. In fact, commanders of five separate guerrilla groups interviewed in Falluja said they were not holding Hassan and had seen no evidence that Zarqawi’s organization had kidnapped her, according to Reuters ( http://www.uruknet.info/?colonna=m&p=6568 ).
“She had been living in Iraq for 30 years and she was a humanitarian. The resistance did not kidnap her because this would have left a bad impression of the resistance in the world,” said one commander, who asked not to be named. Hassan was likely either kidnapped by criminals-who now run rampant in Iraq, thanks to Bush’s invasion and a complete lack of law enforcement-or she was kidnapped by American or Israeli covert operatives attempting to discredit the resistance ( http://www.uruknet.info/?colonna=m&p=6457 ).
If it is the former, it may be coincidental that the announcement of Hassan being turned over to mythical al-Zarqawi terrorists appeared as Americans trek to the polls to “elect” the next corporate poobah determined to kill terrorists (and a whole lot of kids and grandmothers).
On the other hand, it may be a political ploy designed to send a message during the election, same as the appearance of two al-Qaeda videos, the latest by a fake Osama ( http://www.indybay.org/news/2004/10/1702065.php ) who provides the American public with the most comprehensive al-Qaeda political message to date (and for some odd reason contradicting himself on previous claims that he had nothing to do with the events of 9/11:
