Loremo - the 1.5 litres/100 km biodiesel car
Loremo is based on the principle of a captive balloon: Whoever sheds ballast, will pick up speed.
The sensational fuel consumption of only 1.5 litres / 100 km is due to the reduction of weight and air resistance and is the result of a productive "struggle" for comfort, design and efficiency. Remembering what is essential does also mean to reduce parts and material as well as to merge functions and, in doing so, also to reduce costs.

To get a good sense of where US policy is heading, one need only read the front page of the New York Times or Wall Street Journal - painful as that may be to do. I skip the Times but do read the Journal daily because of the audience it reaches - high level people in business and government who want real information to guide them in their work. So despite the Journal being a voice for US (…) -
Stick it to big oil!

4 commentsI was just reading about Bee County Texas the other day. It seems the good folks there have finally had enough of the high prices they have been paying for gasoline. They are boycotting Exxon until the price for regular unleaded comes back down to $1.30. The idea is to not buy any gasoline at any Exxon or Mobile stations while supporting the stores with inside business so that the employees will still have a job. The effort they desire to put forward is the best of intentions but is quite (…)

Green Left Review
After almost five years, and countless thousands of people dead and disappeared, the US$7.5 billion initiative known as "Plan Colombia" has failed — politically and militarily — to bring an end to the crisis that characterises the violence-ridden South American country of Colombia.
Begun in 2000, Plan Colombia was ostensibly designed to take the "war on drugs" to the drug producers. The US argued these were primarily "narco-terrorists" — the Marxist (…) -

Break Up the Big Oil Cartel
By RALPH NADER
What a week it has been for the giant oil companies! Billions in record quarterly profits rushing into their coffers. An even bigger round of quarterly profits coming up. Gargantuan executive pay bonanzas. And a pile of "forces beyond our control" excuses to publicize in response to the empty outrage of Washington politicians and the real squeeze on consumers and small businesses.
Oil man (…) -
US to Commit Genocide Over Opening of Iranian Oil Market
28 April 2006 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsThe US media refuses to acknowledge that Iran plans on opening it’s Oil exchange up in EUROS beginning next week. The sanctions being placed on Iran through the UN will outlaw countries from using this market, thus keeping the US’ stranglehold on the oil markets who have traded solely in the US dollar up until now. US would lose $1 Trillion a year if this market is opened.
The United States committed genocide by doing the very same thing in Iraq. Over One Million people were killed. The (…) -
