You want to know, Your Worshipfulness, how bad things are here, then consider this: The “National Enquirer,” a weekly scandal sheet, is selling out faster than President Barack Obama can break his campaign promises! All you hear about is Tiger Woods and his bimbos. Every day, (…)

Christians of Palestine Decry ‘Absence of All Hope’
18 December 2009 par (Open-Publishing)
By Nicola Nasser*
"In the absence of all hope, we cry out our cry of hope. We believe in God, good and just. We believe that God’s goodness will finally triumph over the evil of hate and of death that still persist in our land. We will see here ’a new land’ and ’a new human being’, capable of rising up in the spirit to love each one of his or her brothers and sisters," concluded a document (“Kairos Palestine Document”) released by Palestinian Christian leaders on December 11, 2009. The Swiss People’s Party (SVP) of Switzerland has created an atmosphere of fear and hatred of Islam and Muslims by launching an initiative to prohibit building of minarets on mosques in Switzerland. The campaign leading up to the voting has been Islamophobic and hateful.
Some of the Swiss Media such as Tagesanzeiger, a Swiss German newspaper has been extremely anti-Muslim and published scare stories to swing people’s votes (…) -
2012, Agree to Agree

Much has been made of the Mayan calendar ending in 2012, the next Y2K. Anyone remember what happened on Y1K? Christians and just plain Joes gathered on hilltops with their arms raised and swaying in a religious rapture waiting for Jesus to come and save them. For those of you who missed it, he didn’t show.
No one bothered to tell these people that the dates on calendars are somewhat arbitrary affairs. The year one thousand had no relevance to the Jewish calendar, much (…) -

1 commentAnd remember, if a certain 2000 year old cult, that worships a man whose mother had never had sex, who was executed, who then descended into the pits of Hell, after which he became an "undead", wandering around and scaring former friends, finally disappearing into the sky, sending a ghost to visit his friends who then wandered around ritually transforming bread and wine into the undead friend’s flesh and blood which they ate and drank, promising other cult members that if they participated (…)

How do I leave the church?

2 commentsHow do I leave the church? Count me out! Take a stand for church-state separation
How?
In order to formally leave the church you need to complete a "Declaration of Defection" form. We have automated this process so that, in 3 steps and with only simple details, we can produce all the required documentation. We also generate an accompanying cover letter that you are free to alter as you see fit. Alternatively, you can download a blank PDF (…) -

Are We Possessed?
Paul Levy
Far from a thing of the past or an ignorant superstition, demonic possession and evil spells, in our technologically developed society, are an increasing danger. C. G. Jung has given us modern terms for these very real states, uriging us to make exorcizing ourselves "the most vital task of civilization."
C. G. Jung, the great doctor of the soul and one of the most inspired psychologists of the twentieth century, had incredible insight into what is currently (…) -
Extremism and Suffering Children
15 June 2009 par (Open-Publishing)
What does a shootout at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., the confessions of a Khmer Rouge jailer and the murder of a Kansas medical doctor have in common? The answer is “children,” and how they suffer from being targeted and used by extremists to advance their own hateful agendas.
In 1981, acting as a public interest lawyer, I represented a Holocaust survivor who had been a 17-year-old boy when his entire family was murdered in Nazi concentration camps. We sued a group of (…) -

Reinforcing presumed religious identities: where are women and secularists of Muslim countries in Obama’s speech in Cairo?

June 4, 2009
It is beyond doubt that many people around the world, of various political opinions and creeds, will feel relieved after the discourse the President of the USA delivered in Cairo today. It is apparently a new voice, a voice of peace, quite far from Bush’s clash of civilisations. But is it so?
I presume that (…) -
Obama’s Cairo Speech to Muslims - pro-war lies, slies, holocaust denial & "no we can’t"
8 June 2009 par (Open-Publishing)
President Obama’s 4 June 2009 Cairo Speech to the Muslim World was a dishonest, hypocritical, pro-war, pro-Zionist travesty of lies, slies (spin-based untruths) and holocaust denial amounting to a de facto "no we can’t offend the Zionists" (see “Obama’s Speech to the Muslim World. Zionist spin and Orwellian holocaust denial”: on MWC News: .
Up to the 1930s American involvement in the Muslim World was through business and attendant diplomacy apart from military involvement against Barbary (…)
