To My Fellow Americans,
It is especially important in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to remind the American people that while this absentee government approved of the war in Iraq and spent billions doing so, these funds could have been better used to clean up after such catastrophes.
As corporations who run our government made out like bandits where our government gave them billions and with the tax breaks to those who do not need it, this is our time to fight (…)

Venezuela’s President Chavez is to be commended for being the truth-teller!

In light of Pat Robertson calling for the assassination of President Hugo Chavez then apologizing for it, what I have witnessed is the sounds of silence coming from all of our elected leaders, be they Democrat or Republican, chiming in unison that this was wrong.
Then again, it goes hand in hand with the culture of death we are living with in this country.
Yes, you heard me correctly ... this is a culture of death where the benefactors are the rich and the powerful (…) -
How Can Some in the Democratic Party Support Death and Destruction?

Excuse me for once again coming down hard on my party’s leaders when it comes to the “Bush War” in Iraq, but I along with many others are becoming increasingly angry that the Democratic Party is NOT showing a sign of force, but complicity when it comes to this war. That is not to say that all of our Democratic leaders are supportive of this president, but when you have Mike McCurry a former Clinton White House press secretary stating this in a Washington Post article, (…) -
Why not use the Patriot Act against religious fanatics like Pat Robertson?

Just yesterday in his broadcast on the 700 Club Reverend Pat Robertson called for the assassination of President Hugo Chavez who is the President of Venezuela.
I find this outrageous coming from an alleged man of God.
I find this equally outrageous that a man who believes in the sanctity of all human life would call for this.
By calling for a world leader’s assassination, this proves that he is NOT PRO LIFE, but part of the sick machine that has taken hold of our (…) -
Habitual lies to promote a war against the guiltless are pretty telling...

In June, US president Bush’s spinmeister and advisor Karl Rove had this to say of liberals concerning September 11: “Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers.”
I still say that this statement is ludicrous and just plain nuts.
I am of the belief we go after those who not only attack us as a nation, but also personally. I am not of the belief of excusing horrific behavior and (…) -

I am of the belief we go after those who not only attack us as a nation, but also personally. I am not of the belief of excusing horrific behavior and actions by terrorists or mere criminals in this country.
If you are guilty of a terrorist attack or any crime is that you do the time and are prepared for the consequences of your actions.
* I am however against going after the wrong people and blaming (…) -
Where Is Laura Bush?

With President Bush’s approval ratings in the dumpster the polling numbers reflect his ineffectiveness to lead this country in the right direction. You would think he would do something to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of Americans to gain back their trust. But this corrupt Polly Anna president of ours goes on day to day as if nothing is wrong.
There is something very wrong when this president when a mom of a fallen soldier camps outside his Crawford home pleading (…) -
A Repost of "I Have Looked into Bush’s Soul and Saw Black" -Written by Me on May 27, 2002

To My Fellow Americans,
As you have read my past pieces on my blog, I always choose blue as my font color. But, today, I am using black because it mirrors how I see Bush’s soul. I wrote the below piece for Democrats.com on May 27, 2002 to put down my feelings how I viewed Pres. Bush back then.
Many more events have transpired since I wrote this piece such as the “Bush War” in Iraq, but what has remained constant is the narcissism that I do see within this (…) -

VHeadline.com guest commentarist Mary MacElveen writes: A statement made by Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman in relation to Saudi Arabia, truly boggles the mind where he said, “As the world’s largest producer and as the world’s largest consumer, our two countries have a special relationship." He then went onto say “We are, at least in certain respects, partners" ... he made these statements earlier in the year with his Saudi counterpart Ali al-Naimi.
As we all know (…) -
Some Reasons Why I Do Not Trust the DLC

To My Fellow Democrats,
In the piece below "Hillary Clinton: Democratic mediator?" which appeared in yesterday’s Newsday, bothered me for many reasons. Some points brought out within this piece add to my total distrust for the Democratic Leadership Council. Last week, I wrote an editorial for the LiberalPatriot.org called, "How Can There Be Unity in the Democratic Party When Liberals are Shunned?" If you have not read that piece, please visit the Liberal Patriot by (…)
