Bush Earpiece Story: Much more than the Bulge
by Open-Publishing - Sunday 17 October 20048 comments
Was President Bush wired during the debates? This ’conspiracy
theory’ gained traction on the net due to the now infamous picture of a
rectangular bulge under Bush’s jacket. But the story doesn’t end with
the bulge, there is much more evidence that Bush is using an earpiece
than just the picture. Here’s what we know so far:
John Reynolds
noticed that Bush said, "let me finish" to nobody in particular 60
seconds into a 90 second answer. And it’s _the way_ he says it, sort of
a mutter under his breath. Click for the audio and video link to
hear/see for youself.
A technical expert that makes such devices looked at the photographs of Bush’s bulge and said, "There’s no question about it."
A neurolinguistic programming expert writes that Bush’s eye movements
are proof that he’s listening. Haven’t you noticed the odd pauses
and the frequent looks down.... it most definitely appears that he is
listening intently, then when he gets the message he looks up and
speaks to the camera.
A former interpreter for Bush: "As a deep insider myself, I have independent confirmation of President
Bush using an earpiece to assist him in communicating intelligently
with others."
There is another bulge picture from the third debate.
And of course, the biggest factor in the Bush Wired story is Bush
himself. His speaking ’style’ with odd pauses has led many of to
speculate that he has been wired for most of his presidency. Then
during the first debate he treated us to an incredible display of
incompetence, such that his being wired is perhaps the only way to
explain it. Sure he should have done better getting fed lines from a
script, but he’s a fool, and it’s not easy to accomplish this task. His
blunders _really_ made it seem like he was listening, then
regurgitating it on the spot. Is it possible that the leader of the
free world is actually a clueless idiot that needs Karl Rove to feed
him answers?
This is no laughing matter. If this is true, then it follows that
perhaps there are many more lies behind such a fradulent
administration. We need to investigate this matter seriously. For
starters, check out these audio..... clips...... of Mr. Bush
speaking..... and pausing at very odd..... times. There are 8 clips
separated by 5 secs each, 5 from the 1st debate, 3 from a speech he
gave last year after the blackout.
1.7mb mp3 posted at nyc.indymedia.org
If anyone would like to verify that I did not alter these clips,
check out the 1st debate at c-span.org, and here is the video from the blackout speech.
Isn’t this enough evidence to warrant verification? We don’t need an
investigation, we just need Bush to prove he is capable of
answering unscripted questions without a wire. That’s not too much to
ask of a Presidential Canididate is it? I suggest we have a new debate,
t-shirt and shorts only (eeewwww- I know, but it must be done ;)
Kerry hasn’t mentioned this issue, and Edwards was quick to laugh it
off on Leno- but why? Why should Bush be allowed to get away with this
absurd fraud? Especially when it’s such a ’close election’, why isn’t
Kerry as concerned about removing this madman as we are? Could it be
that the Skull and Bones connection is more than just a frat?
And for the Bushies that say we’re just conspiracy nuts- fine, we say-
prove it. Bush needs to prove to the American people that he is
capable of answering unscripted questions without a wire. If he
won’t accept the challenge to prove it, that in itself exposes the
truth- that Mr. Bush is an incompetent fool that needs Rove-in-the-ear
to help him speak in public.

This whole thing is driving me crazy. Many people are emailing the media and the just give it a ha ha if they even mention this. I cannot understand why Kerry won’t bring it up either.
There is an even bigger story about bush using drugs. Anti-depressants prescribed by his doctor. This was a story in July, check this out.

This combined with the wiring is a dangerous combination, especially given his predeliction to addiction.
We need to get on the ball or this is going to get real bad.
It is starting to look like the media is under control of administration. What is happening.
I think this is a french site, I live in America and I want you to know that the democrats here are trying like hell to change this regime here.

To; "Dianne in California".
Yes, this is a "french" site. I am "british", and I can assure you that most of europe is completely fed up with the antics of bush, and his judeo-christian zionist neo con masters.(Psychopaths!) Will kerry be any better? Perhaps, but for now, remember the old quote from Joe Stalin, "He who counts the votes, wins the election." Which also happens to be the motto of Diebold, the paperless vote counters. America has become the totalitarian nightmare of us all, with armed forces in over 100 foriegn countries, all "promoting/protecting" the interests of america.

Is Bush wired AND hiding a health problem?
Is Bush wired AND hiding a health problem?
Sat. October 30: Just released

.....
Don’t know the story? Get up to speed:
Would you be upset if Bush failed to disclose something critically important to you?
President Bush has a bulge on his back. It’s been called "Bulgegate" and the "The Bush Bulge" and it has appeared in all of the 2004 Presidential debates. The "bulge" has been called a "badly tailored shirt" which the President claims to have worn in all 3 debates, mind you.
The "3 bad shirts theory" is to the media, it seems, acceptable: the President has a wardrobe full of bad expensive shirts! We have an obvious bulge, so do we have a transmitter, defibrillator, or something else?
There are also two wires-like objects found on President Bush. Links are which lead to more information regarding the "bulge". Are the "bulges" and "wires" connected in some way?
These insights have compelled me to ask in my latest article: could it be a defibrillator? The President has a genetic disposition to AF (read study) and has not submitted for a physical this year which goes against tradition. Why has the President not submitted for a physical?

BULGEGATE UPDATE — http://bulgegate.blogspot.com
........................................
The "Bulge-gate" news story has gotten a lot of attention, largely being supported by the suspicion President Bush was wearing an earpiece in the debates. To support this theory we have seen a bulge on his back, past evidence of earpiece use, a wire under his tie, and strange speech patterns.
Bush could be "wired" and also have a health problem because 2 relevant tracks of evidence have consistently appeared. I am going to publish another photo soon to demonstrate that if the Bulge on Bush’s back was a communications device, it was big. If it was something else, we need to know what it is.
I don’t suspect many believe it is only a health related issue happening here, I certainly don’t. Bush could actually be both "wired" and have had a medical device on, nothing has made this impossible so far, although statistically less likely.
I wanted to restate the defibrillator case to keep all options alive as long as there is evidence to support it. That increases the chances of important information coming forward.
.......................................
Cannonfire (also of note are the articles about potential voter fraud) continues to publish almost daily on the evolution of the Bulge story, noting:
"The bulge-spotters’ argument may be better served if we keep these pictures as far as possible from the Adobe treatment. Any use of Photoshop, however innocent in intention, allows Bush apologists to howl that evil librul hoaxters concocted the entire controversy."
This is a good point, and as the evidence builds that sentiment will become reinforced. These techniques need to be used carefully and to enhance evidence, not generate it.

Finally Chris Suellentrop (deputy Washington bureau chief for Slate.com), is interviewed on WNYC’s radio show "On the Media":
http://www.wnyc.org/onthemedia/transcripts/transcripts_101504_bulge.html
Excerpts:
"
BROOKE GLADSTONE: So where is most of the coverage of this mysterious bulge coming from?
CHRIS SUELLENTROP: There was speculation about this in 2000, believe it or not....
...
BROOKE GLADSTONE: And what’s your answer?
CHRIS SUELLENTROP: I think it’s definitely a story to write about [...] I think the press obviously missed the Swiftboat story for a long time [...] I’ve never seen a, a wrinkle in somebody’s clothes that came out as a rectangle. [LAUGHTER] So, you know, I think it’s a real question.
...
BROOKE GLADSTONE: Do you think the internet is helping reporters to get to the bottom of this, or is it having the effect of discrediting the whole story from the outset?
CHRIS SUELLENTROP: [...] the idea that there was a rectangle on the president’s back became obscured by the fact that all these left-wing bloggers were saying "the president is wired," which was sort of a leap unsupported by the evidence, and so then people immediately dismissed the rectangle and said this whole thing is phony; [...] Now, having said that, without them — would we be talking about it? I don’t know. It’s a good question.
...
BROOKE GLADSTONE: So the White House would like it to go away. Do you think reporters would also like it to go away?
CHRIS SUELLENTROP: Probably. I mean look, I think reporters want to set the agenda and not have the agenda set for them, and for better or for worse, if they feel like they’ve gotten pushed to this story and they don’t think it’s worthy of covering, it’s the kind of thing they want to go away.
...
BROOKE GLADSTONE: [...] Do you find that a lot of mainstream reporters are using the excuse of covering the coverage to cover the story?
CHRIS SUELLENTROP: That’s right. Now it’s covering the blogs or covering the buzz on the internet. So you can say well, we’re not giving credence to this story — we’re just covering what people are chatting about on line. And some of the people that have sat out the story have said, look, we don’t want to do that story.

A few days ago photo enhancements exposes a wire leading from the bulge on the President’s back, Salon.com has also published on the same topic. Read both accounts here:

http://bulgegate.blogspot.com (test the theory for yourself!)
...
http://www.blueoregon.com/2004/10/bush_busted_by_.html
Says: "Well, now it appears that one of the most respected scientists in the photo analysis field has determined conclusively: Bush had some sort of artificial device under his coat."

Puppetstring has been updated with a comment I grabbed from Colin Green at:

"
If we follow this theory through the bulge would be the receiver/relayer, the wire up the right shoulder is to an inductance loop, perhaps in his collar, and it also looks to me that there is a wire traveling down his back, which would correspond to the wire seen behind his tie. This wire that we can see is actually quite prominent by way of its thickness, say 5mm. Such thickness would only normally be used to convey power - from a battery pack somewhere on his person, to the receiver on his back. Also note that the tie wire disappears into the left hand side of Bush’s jacket - the same side as the wire seen own his lower back.

from David Lindorff
http://www.thiscantbehappening.net/
" The N.Y. Times, when it followed up Salon’s first story with its own call to the Bush campaign, was initially told that the photo circulating widely on the Web was "doctored."
Only later, when it was pointed out that the bulge was visible on the original video feeds, did the Bush campaign fall back on a second explanation: the bulge was a wrinkle, or actually a "pucker."
That this excuse is clearly ludicrous, Salon made clear in its second article, which showed an unmistakable bulge in the same area of the president’s jacket during the second debate in St. Louis, and in a photo of Bush on his ranch, in which he had a bulge under his T-shirt that was remarkably like the one under his jacket during the first—and third—debates.
When the Bush campaign finally did respond, in the person of Reed Dickens, it was to flatly deny that Bush was wearing anything, including a wire—again a patently absurd and untrue claim that only begs the question: why can’t the president admit that there is something on his back? "
